Acorn was set up nearly 40 years ago by founder and chairman, Andrew Gardiner, who, as a former teacher, had seen first hand the tremendous benefits that adventures in the great outdoors had on young people. As a father of two, he also enjoyed many camping activity holidays with his own family and it was for these two reasons that he set up Acorn Adventure. We believe passionately that a family holiday in the outdoors is the best and most enjoyable way to bring families together, away from the distractions of everyday life.
